How it works

Simple by design.

01

Choose your test

Pick the panel that fits where you are. An Australian doctor reviews your details and requests it. No GP referral needed.

02

Collect your way

A quick draw at an accredited centre near you, a home kit posted to your door, or a nurse who comes to you. You choose at checkout.

03

Results, explained

Plain-English results in your account, and a doctor to talk them through, with next steps if you want them.

After your results

A result is a beginning, not an end.

Most testing stops at the PDF. KnowLuna is built for what comes next, so one clear answer can turn into years of understanding your body.

Step 01

Results consult

Included with every panel a KnowLuna doctor requests, and available as an add-on otherwise. A doctor talks through what each marker means for you, by video or phone.

Step 02

A plan, if you want one

Sometimes that's nothing. Sometimes it's a repeat test in a few months, or a referral to your GP or a specialist. Always agreed with you.

Step 03

Share with your GP

Download your report and doctor's summary from your account in one click. It's written to be useful to them.

Ongoing

Your history, over time

Re-test reminders, trends across results, and the same doctor where possible, from your first fertility question through menopause.

From the founder

Why we're building this.

Adam Ducquet
Founder, KnowLuna · Melbourne

I've spent more than a decade helping Australian health providers reach the women who need them, and I kept seeing the same thing: women handed a lab printout with no explanation, or told to "wait and see" for years, or sold a test that couldn't answer the question they were actually asking.

KnowLuna exists to do this properly. Only tests with real clinical use. Every one requested and explained by a registered doctor. Accredited labs, always. Plain English, always. And honesty about what a test can't tell you, because that is where trust is actually earned.

Our founding medical director and clinical team will be introduced here before we open. Until then, that is the standard we're building to.

Women's health only

Experts in the questions women actually ask.

We don't test everything. We test the hormones behind fertility, cycles, PCOS, perimenopause and menopause, and our doctors work in nothing else.

26

Tests across nine stages

Each panel groups the markers women's health GPs and gynaecologists look at together, following Australian clinical guidance, including the international PCOS guideline led from Australia.

100%

Women's health doctors

Every KnowLuna doctor works in women's and reproductive health. No generalist call centre. Profiles and AHPRA numbers published before we open.

Ways to order

Already have a doctor's request? Pay for the test and the plain-English report. No GP? A KnowLuna doctor requests it and talks you through the results.

0

Jargon

Every marker explained: what it is, what yours says, what it doesn't. Read a sample report.

Why KnowLuna

Built on standards, not stories.

In health, trust has to be earned with credentials, not marketing. Here is what stands behind every KnowLuna test.

Doctor-led

Every test is requested and reviewed by an AHPRA-registered Australian doctor.

Accredited labs

Routine pathology by NATA/RCPA-accredited Australian laboratories, the same standard as your GP's pathology. Genomic tests by accredited specialist laboratories, named before you order.

Plain English

No jargon. You'll understand what your results mean, and what they don't.

Private and Australian

Your health data stays in Australia, protected under the Privacy Act.

Sources and further reading

General information only, not medical advice. A blood test is one input to a doctor's assessment, not a diagnosis on its own. If your symptoms are severe or sudden, see a doctor promptly. Read our medical disclaimer.

Clarity is the first step to feeling well.
Know your body. Know your Luna. Doctor-led, plain English, on your terms.
Common questions
Do I need a referral from my GP?

No. You order online and an AHPRA-registered doctor reviews your details and requests the test for you.

Is it covered by Medicare?

No. KnowLuna tests are self-pay and not Medicare-rebated. The price you see includes the doctor's request, the accredited lab test and your results explained.

Where do I get the sample taken?

Your choice at checkout: a collection centre near you (included), a home kit, or a nurse home visit ($129, metro). We'll show you the closest options once your test is requested.
